Embracing the Power of Mistakes

As I step into this new business launch, there is one thing I am looking forward to more than anything else: making mistakes. That might sound counterintuitive, but I’ve learned that mistakes are often the most illuminating. Mistakes create motion. They force us to pause, reassess, and ask better questions. How can I improve? What needs to change? What will I absolutely never do again? Every stumble becomes a lesson and a nudge toward a clearer version of myself.

When I look back at my professional past, it is not the smooth wins that stand out. It is the uncomfortable moments–the interview where I froze, the speaking engagement that didn’t resonate, the job I accepted and quickly regretted. Those experiences lingered because they exposed my vulnerability. They pushed me to evolve.

Launching this business feels like I can live in the comfort of stumbling, dusting myself off, and moving forward with confidence. Confidence in knowing that I am learning and willing to try, fail, adjust, and try again. So here’s to the mistakes I haven’t made yet. Here’s to growth. If the past has taught me anything, it’s that the moments that challenge me most are the ones that ultimately move me forward.
